Individuals wear suits, shirts or blouses, pants, smock dresses, skirts (cloth and grass), military uniforms, kimonos, robes, boots, and dress shoes. Accessories shown include bracelets, necklaces, neck ties, Edwardian-style hats, bonnets, scarves, canes/walking sticks, bowler hats, and cigars. Settings include individuals at recreation, in group and/or playful poses, and contrived everyday scenarios. Some photographs also contain images of dwellings, a structure under construction, children’s toys, a piano, a wash basin, lawns, meadows, and pathways or clearings in wooded areas.
