V, page 122, June 18, 1822: "The meeting was called by the Committee appointed for the improvement of the building containing the Loganian Library after the subject was considered it was on motion Resolved That the building committee be authorized to cause a slate roof to be placed over the Loganian Library and to raise the North and South wall as high as conveniently can be done so that the highest elevation of the said roof shall not be higher than the eastern eaves of the Philadelphia Library.";
